Roxanne Christ is a partner in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins.  Ms. Christ's practice focuses on intellectual property and media transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of intellectual property portfolios; commercial loans secured by copyrights, patents and trademarks; securitizations of receivables arising from copyrighted works; and licensing and strategic alliance agreements.  Ms. Christ has represented companies in a variety of industries, including video game development and publishing, social networking sites, music, print publishing and software.  

Ms. Christ was recently named to the Legal 500 US: Volume II - Intellectual Property, Media, Technology & Telecoms.  She is an Adjunct Professor of Video Game Law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and regularly provides pro bono services to StoryCorps, creator of Sound Portraits.

  • Mattel - Acquisition of Radica Games Ltd.
  • Harrah's Entertainment - Licensing World Series of Poker to AOL Games Portal
  • Amp'd Mobile - Licensing music and television content from MTV Networks for Amp'd's mobile virtual network operator platform
  • Vivendi Games - Sales of Knowledge Adventure, Papyrus Studios, Heritage Quest; renegotiation of distribution agreement with Shiny Studios; general advice and counseling
  • Educate, Inc. - Acquisition of Reading Rainbow public television series
  • Yucaipa Companies - Potential investment in entertainment industry assets
