Strategy and Implementation for New Leaders empowers emerging and future leaders in the newspaper industry with the knowledge and concepts needed to understand the changing media and the global marketplace.
Curriculum includes strategic implementation, understanding the marketing mindset, the value and role of journalism, financial analysis and leadership skills. The goal of this program is to give new and future leaders an opportunity to step outside their day-to-day responsibilities and gain a broader understanding of management across all departments of their organization. The Center encourages individual and group learning that is reinforced through exercises and a management simulation.
Participants in Strategy and Implementation for New Leaders will gain a deeper understanding of:
Integrated strategy and management within their organization
Brand development and management
The evolution of journalism in a changing society
Developing processes and measures to lead the newspaper
Leading change in the newspaper
