Developed
and presented in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters,
this six-day seminar provides a new literacy in modern management
and gives a broader perspective on the television business.
Participants gather
the tools and vision needed to more effectively implement the goals
of their stations. Like other programs at the Center, this seminar
also brings cutting-edge ideas from other sectors and media that
can enhance television and help its executives succeed in their
highly competitive marketplace.
The curriculum examines
the changing business landscape, looking at the impact of the digital
age of television and exploring business strategies for changing
technology. The program centers on a curriculum of management tools:
strategic marketing, accounting, finance, negotiation techniques,
strategic alliances and performance management.
Faculty members are
drawn from the Center's core staff, as well as professors from the
Medill School of Journalism and the Kellogg School of Management.
