Most of the Center's programs take place on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston, IL, just north of Chicago. Classes are held at the James L. Allen Center, a conference facility on the university campus; most participants stay at the Hotel Orrington in downtown Evanston, a short walk from campus. The Center offers shuttle buses between the hotel and classrooms for participants who prefer not to walk.

The James L. Allen Center
The Allen Center, where classes are held, is located on the shore of Lake Michigan on Northwestern University's Evanston campus at 2169 Campus Drive. The Allen Center's space includes eight classrooms with varying capacities — the smallest accommodates 50 people; the largest is an auditorium seating 220. Breakout rooms are equipped with PCs, printers and meeting supplies. A self-service resource room is outfitted with Macintosh and IBM-compatible computers, a scanner, laptop hook-ups, laser printers, a copier and office supplies. Other amenities include fax services, check-cashing, safe-deposit boxes and a Federal Express mail drop.

Hotel Orrington
Hotel Orrington, located at 1710 Orrington Avenue in Evanston, IL, offers pleasant accommodations within walking distance of Northwestern University's campus. Dining
Your tuition includes the cost of meals. Cuisine at the Allen Center combines traditional American favorites with international specialties, providing a wide array of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Experienced chefs create delicious vegetarian and macrobiotic dishes as well as traditional fare, in order to accommodate your dietary needs and preferences. Kosher foods are available upon request. Enjoy the glass-enclosed Atrium and Park dining rooms, or take in the lakefront scenery from the S. C. Johnson Wax dining area.

Although, on most days, participants dine together at the Allen Center, Evanston offers dozens of restaurant alternatives within walking distance of the hotel.

Exercise
The Center's program participants may enjoy complimentary use of the Olympic-sized pool, 1/8-mile track, tennis, squash and basketball courts located inside Northwestern University's Henry Crown Sports Pavilion and Norris Aquatics Center, which is just a short walk from the Allen Center.

Slightly closer to the Hotel Orrington, participants also have free access to the Evanston Athletic Club with its comprehensive facilities and convenient location.
