Edward Zajac joined the Kellogg School of Management faculty in 1986 and has served
as the James F. Bere Distinguished Professor of Management and Organizations since 1993. He teaches
strategic alliances and corporate governance at the Media Management Center.
Zajac's research focuses
on strategic alliances, corporate governance, and strategic adaptation with large organizations in
media, health care, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. He has served on the board of directors of
Roberts Industries.
Zajac received his B.S. in 1979 in Accounting and German from LaSalle College. He
received his M.B.A. in Management and Strategic Planning in 1985 and his Ph.D. in Organization
Strategy in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania.
