Keith Murnighan joined the
faculty of the Kellogg School of Management in 1996, where
he serves as the Harold H. Hines Jr. Distinguished Professor of
Risk Management. He teaches organizational behavior for the Center.
Murnighan teaches bargaining,
negotiations and organizational behavior. His research focuses on
negotiation and interpersonal interaction. His current projects
involve altruism, ethics, fairness, cooperation, repentance, volunteering
and the competitive urge.
Murnighan received his B.S. in
1970, his M.S. in 1972 and his Ph.D. in social psychology in 1974
from Purdue University.
