Victoria Medvec is an associate professor of Management and Organizations for the Kellogg School of Management. In 1997, she received the Sid Levy Teaching Award. She teaches
employee loyalty, commitment and motivation at the Media Management Center.
Medvec's research focuses
on judgment and decision-making, with a particular emphasis on how people feel about decisions they
have made. She examines people's tendency to compare their own outcomes with the alternative
outcomes that "might have been" and how these comparisons affect an individual's satisfaction.
Medvec
received her B.A. in 1986 from Bucknell University and her Ph.D. in 1995 from Cornell University.
