Steve Burnett
joined the faculty of the Kellogg School of Management in 1981 as
visiting assistant professor of marketing and is currently professor
of strategic management. He teaches marketing strategies for the
Center. His teaching, research and consulting interests focus on
the interface of corporate, business and market strategy. He also
teaches in Kellogg's full-time masters program, as well as in the
School's new executive masters programs in Germany and Hong Kong.
Burnett founded
and directs the Kellogg Management Institute, the School's newest
general management program. For more than 20 years, Burnett has
played an active role in developing and popularizing the notion
that custom or company-specific executive programs can be powerful
forces for implementing organizational change. In addition to writing
and speaking about custom programs, he has designed, directed and
taught in dozens of Kellogg custom offerings for such companies
as Brunswick, British Petroleum, R.R. Donnelley, Ernst & Young,
General Motors, Goodyear, Sears, Spiegel, USG Corporation and the
Zurich Insurance Group.
Burnett received
his B.S. in 1973, summa cum laude, from Christian Brothers University,
his M.B.A. in 1975 and his D.B.A. in marketing in 1980 from Indiana
University.
