The Media Management Center is affiliated with Northwestern
University's renowned Kellogg School of Management and Medill School
of Journalism. The Center conducts executive education programs,
projects, and research on the media's most pressing problems. The
Center's executive education programs include training for top executives
in newspapers, magazines and broadcast television, as well as tailored
programs for media companies.
The Center's staff and faculty are comprised of scholars
dedicated to the study and development of cutting edge management
practices in media companies. The Center was founded in 1989 as
the Newspaper Management Center for newspaper executives with a
grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The Media
Management Center is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight
Foundation, the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation, the Newspaper
Association of America, the National Association of Broadcasters,
the Magazine Publishers of America and the American Business Media.
